Milo is fully walking now. I’d say that she walks more than she crawls now. It’s really a new development today. She’s still pretty unsteady on her feet, but that doesn’t stop her.
This morning I figured out that it’s much easier to get her to eat if we’re holding her; she refused to eat her oatmeal while in her high chair, so after Chase left, I fed her oatmeal while standing up holding her. She ate the whole bowl without hesitation. I probably could have given her even more.
Milo toon an early nap, possibly because she’s recovering from the weekend? She decided it was nap time by climbing in my lap and putting her head on my shoulder, which was very sweet.
Lunch didn’t go so well. We use a plastic placemat, and there was a bulge in it today, so when she slapped it, the food flew. Yeah, she didn’t eat any food after she discovered that.
Her second nap was short, only 45 min. I had no idea why, and it kind of frustrated me since I was trying to read (I am also terribly sunburned still, so it would have been nice to have a little extra time without her climbing and slapping at me). She was so fussy upon waking, too. I gave her a bit of tylenol to help with the teething. It helped her feel better, so we made a trip to the store, and she seemed fine.
Notes:
I like to give crackers or baby snacks when we go into a store now. There were a few times when she got super fussed and started trying to get out of the stroller when I was at the grocery store. So now, I give her the toddler bowl with crackers in it while I shop, and she lays back and snacks and looks at everything and doesn’t fuss at all. Problem solved!
Milo still insists on tearing everything off the book shelf whenever she has the chance. Now that there’s an empty shelf there, she has started to limb and try to get more things. She’s wild.
