Bastrop

We Slept with Milo in the bed with us last night because I was convinced that she was too cold in her bed. So basically I got no sleep last night. It was terrible. She does not know how to sleep in our bed with us anymore.
We got up at around 8, visited with Mom, Matthew, Stacy, and Dad for a while. We had no real plans for when we should head back to Austin, so we were pretty lazy in the morning.
John came over because we hadn’t gotten to see him yet. He drove himself. It still freaks me out that John can drive places on his own without any supervision. The boy is 16 already, and I have no idea where the time went. It was nice to see him with the baby. He’s such a good boy.
We also visited Steven and Blanca & the kids for just a bit. Milo was wild and played with everything, got into everything at their house. The kids were great with her, though, and they made sure she didn’t get into anything that could harm her.
We went back to Mom’s for lunch and packed sloppily. We ended up leaving Rockport at around 2pm. Milo slept from about 2:30-3, then she was awake until bedtime.
We got a rental in Bastrop, and we arrived there at around 5pm. Then we decided to walk to dinner, stopping in some shops along the way. Tonight is the first time we let Milo have some avocado on a plate, and she got it everywhere except her mouth. In retrospect, it was not a great idea to let her feed herself for the first time at a restaurant. We tipped well.
We gave our girl her first bath in a week when we got back to the rental, and then she seemed rejuvenated, despite having been awake so long. I decided to feed her one last time and then let her play until she was tired, but she fell asleep at the breast, which was pleasant surprise.
Chase and I tried to watch some Star Wars, but Milo woke a lot after we put her down. So we went to bed early.
