Walk Through the Park
misty · Sun, Feb 21, 2016We had a lazy morning today, partially because Milo slept so well last night. She only woke up once during the night, and she slept until 7am today. So, we kind of all laid around on the bed together for a while and then slowly got up for the day.
Today was the first day in quite some time that we went for a walk in the park on a Sunday. We used to ride bikes on the street because it is closed for the day, but since I can’t ride a bike while Milo is small, we haven’t been back there on a Sunday since before she was born. Instead of biking, we walked for a while, and Milo slept some of the time. It was nice being out there again, seeing the roller blading party and swing dancing and just generally strolling along.
On the way home, we took a longer route, stopping first for frozen yogurt (for Chase) and later for ice cream (for me). Milo woke up along the way, and she even shot her hand forward into the ice cream in the half a second that it was close to her. We cleaned it off before she got a taste, though. No ice cream just yet for our girl.
Through the walk and in the ice cream parlor, Milo was very observant, and she didn’t get too fussed until we were almost home. By that time it was already time for another nap, and Milo was ready.
In the afternoon, Milo had more sweet potato, though she wasn’t as interested in it today as she has been in the past. Go figure. Later, Chase and I made tacos for dinner, and after Milo was safely asleep for the night, we watched Spectre, which we’ve been wanting to see for a while.
Notes:
Milo still has that rash around her mouth, which is probably because of the orange slice we gave her yesterday, but we’re not sure. Hopefully will go away soon.
Our girl still hates it when we touch her nose to get boogers out. Any time we touch her nose she cries. I wonder if this is going to be a thing for her.
Diaper changes now require a distraction. They have for a while, but now she’s getting worse about wanting to roll over, crawl away, or just start crying while we’re changing her.
More standing today, still with support and still wobbly. But she loves it.
