Six Months

Milo’s first Valentine’s day!

Actually, Chase and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, so it was just a normal day for all of us. It is Milo’s 6-month birthday, though, which is exciting! I can’t believe she’s already 6 months old. Where did the time go?

Milo slept until around 7:30 this morning, which was nice. However, I had a headache for much of the day, so Chase watched Milo while I took a nap. He’s so great, and I needed the rest, I think. My head felt slightly better when I woke up.

Milo only had 2 naps today, though they were better than yesterday. We went downtown, which was somewhat exciting because I’ve been avoiding it for quite a while (because of the Super Bowl, mostly). We decided to go to Ghirardelli and share a brownie sundae. Milo, of course, didn’t get any. But boy did she reach for it a ton!

After Ghirardelli, we went to the Converse store to look for shoes for Chase. We ended up buying Milo her first pair of Chuck Taylors! They’re a little big for her, but maybe that just means she can wear them longer. She wore them for a hot minute when we got home, and then we took them off of her so that she could check them out. She licked them a lot and pulled on the shoe strings. I think that means she liked them.

Dinner tonight was tomato soup and grilled cheese, which is the first time we’ve tried cooking it at home. I gave Milo a little taste of the tomato soup on my finger tip: she liked it and didn’t make a face the way she does when tasting other things for the first time, probably because it had spices and cream in it.

Finally, bed time was easy, but Milo was up at around 10:30 to nurse. Probably because she was up from 4:30 to about 8pm again and was over tired when we put her down.

After Milo went to sleep, Chase and I got to spend some time looking at houses again, and we ended the night with John Oliver. Not a bad Valentine’s Day.
