Naps and Tiles
misty · Sat, Feb 13, 2016I was really nervous about Milo’s sleep last night, but it was fine. She woke twice: once around midnight, again at around 3am, and then she was awake for the day at around 6:30. Not a bad night.
Today we went another round with getting her to nap on the bed, away from me. The first nap went well, and she slept on the bed without trouble. It’s nice to see her sleeping during the day away from me. I’ve had to keep Sophie off the bed during Milo’s naps, which is no easy task, but I’ve been pretty successful. And I think in time Sophie will learn to vacate the area when she hears the white noise.
We mostly stayed home again, so we spent time playing on the floor a lot. We took a quick trip to Whole Foods and I wore Milo front-facing. She loved it, as usual, and kicked the entire time we were out. We also gave Milo carrots again today, and she seemed to enjoy them. There were no spit bubbles or pushing food out of her mouth this time.
In the mail today we received our foam alphabet, so we put those on the floor so that Milo can fall down without getting too hurt. She seemed to like them right away. She likes to feel things with her fingers by scratching, so she did a lot of scratching on the tiles because they’re slightly textured. And she spun around and around on her belly with such ease! It was fun for all of us.
This evening was a bit difficult because Milo was awake from 4pm until bed time (8pm), which made her over tired. Because of this, I think, she was restless when we put her down, crying several times before going off to sleep for a longer stretch. Fingers crossed for a restful night.
