Hayes Valley
misty · Sat, Jan 23, 2016Today, we mostly stayed home and tried to help Milo poop. She had lots of stinky farts, but still no poop. I emailed her doctor, but if I don’t get a response in the morning, I’m going to call and get some advice. This is getting ridiculous. So far we have:
- Massaged her belly with oil.
- Bicycled her legs.
- Encouraged lots of activity, including “crawling” on her belly and rolling around.
- Fed her lots of breastmilk.
- Sat her in the vibrating chair for as long as she would tolerate it.
- Given her a warm bath.
Nothing. The bath was fun, though. Chase got in with her since she can’t sit up by herself yet, and it was the first time we’ve given her toys to play with in there. She drank quite a bit of water while in there, which I didn’t like much, and she played with her floaty toys a bit, too. Milo has loved the bath for a while, but this time was extra fun because there was more water and she got to play with daddy.
In the afternoon, just after Milo’s second nap, we went out to Hayes Valley. Chase got some frozen yogurt and I got ice cream, and then we walked around and looked in some shops. We don’t go down there too often, mostly because all of the shops are too hoity-toity and expensive. But one of our favorite ice cream shops is there, so we make the trip every so often. It was worth it.
We ended up walking the whole way home, which was kind of awful because of all the hills. But it was nice exercise and a nice talk.
In the evening, we ate leftovers for supper, and we wasted a lot of time on the computer and watching reruns. Not a bad day.
