Holidays, Day Thirteen

On our penultimate day of vacation, we did some last-minute things to prepare for departure: visiting family who we hadn’t yet been able to see, mailing gifts back to San Francisco, and running various errands. Milo was great during all of our outings, which made everything easier.

This evening, Mom made a pot of beans and we stayed in where it was warm. It being New Year’s Eve, Chase and I tried our best to stay awake until midnight, but no dice. We turned in at around 11:30 after watching about half of the first episode of The Jinx.

Notes:

• I’m having so much less anxiety about leaving Milo with someone while Chase and I step away. Tonight, we went to visit with Steven & Fam. after we put Milo down for the night. I thought about her the whole time we were away, but I wasn’t totally panicked.
