Out of Milk

Not much to note today. I’m still doing on-demand feeding with Milo (not sure when I’ll try to get her on a schedule), and today was one of those days when she seemed endlessly thirsty (hungry?). This evening, for her final feeding before bed, she just wanted to eat and eat and eat, even when I felt certain that there was nothing left for her. Luckily, I was able to get her to sleep without too much fussing.

We’re still having trouble getting Milo to take a bottle. I tried again this morning, and she wouldn’t have it. I tasted the milk and it did taste a bit weird, which is odd since it was freshly expressed at around 2am. It made me wonder if the brussels sprouts we’ve been eating could make my milk taste different. If that’s the case, Milo doesn’t have a problem with the taste of the milk if she’s getting it from the breast. Which means that she’s just refusing the bottle not the milk.

We’ll keep trying. It sure would be nice to be able to do things and leave Chase with a bottle for her. As of now, I kind of dread making appointments for myself. I had a successful eye exam over the weekend, and when we’re in Texas (next week!) I have a hair appointment. I hope she’s more amenable to the bottle by that point. We’ll see.
